Facebook Messenger

Most of my messaging is via text message. I have a few group messages on my phone that have been going on for at least a year for some. I use Facebook Messenger occasionally. I turned off the notifications to it after having a few groups get out of control with messages. The one thing I don’t understand and dislike about the Facebook messenger is that it has to be opened separately on my phone instead of it being easily accessible from the Facebook app.
